DishView is an app developed by Delicious LLC. Delicious LLC is located in Niantic, CT. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our application. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. 1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect the following information:

  • Email address

  • Account creation date

Additionally, the database stores an internally assigned user ID, as well as the last log in date.

Post Information: When you post content, we collect the following information:

  • Restaurant name and precise location
  • Date posted
  • Dish photo
  • Dish name
  • Dish rating

Camera Usage: DishView uses your phone’s camera to scan restaurant menus. This information is processed locally on your device and is not stored or shared with third parties.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect in the following ways:

  • To allow users to keep track of their own restaurant dish photos, names, and ratings.
  • To display anonymized restaurant dish photos, names, and ratings to other users. These are always displayed anonymously and never associated with any user identifying information such as email address, user ID, or password.
  • To respond to support requests or password reset requests.

3. Third-Party SDKs

We use the following third-party SDKs to provide our services:

  • Google Maps: To display restaurant locations.
  • Google Places: To provide restaurant information.
  • Firebase Storage: To store user posts (dish photos, names, and ratings).
  • Firebase Authentication: To manage user authentication and secure access to the app.
  • SDWebImage: To efficiently download and cache images.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

User data is retained as long as the user’s account is active. Users can delete individual posts or their entire accounts permanently and completely from DishView and Firebase’s servers using the app. To delete your account or posts:

  • Go to the “Me” section of the app.
  • Click the ellipsis icon on images to delete full posts.
  • Access the menu in the upper right corner and click Delete Account to fully delete your account and all posts.

6. User Tracking

DishView does not engage in any user tracking, and user data are not used for tracking purposes.

7. Contacting Users

DishView will only contact a user if the user makes a support request or a password reset request.

8. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other types of misuse.
